THAI TRADITIONAL WELLNESS FOR EVERYDAY LIVING

THAI FOOD IS MEDICINE

Ayurveda through Thai roots. Learn to eat, cook and live the way my father taught me.

You already love Thai food. This is how to eat it well.

Most Thai food in America was built for takeout. Sweeter, heavier, and far from the way it is cooked at home. I grew up in Surin, in northeast Thailand, where my father treated people with herbs from the land around us and every meal was put together with a purpose.

Sukhālaya is where I teach that back. Not a diet. A way of cooking and eating that has been used in Thai homes for generations, explained clearly enough to use on a Tuesday night.

THE WAY MY FATHER TAUGHT ME

I am Sukanyā. I was born in Surin and I run a café in the West Village.

My father was the person people in our village came to when something was wrong, and what he used came from the ground and from what he had been taught. I trained in Ayurveda at Kripalu to understand the framework underneath it. Sukhālaya is the two of those put together.
